Community Adoption Center has been providing free pregnancy counseling for more than 20 years. We understand that adoption may not be the best alternative for all women. However, the adoption option has proven to be the right decision for thousands of women and their children who our agency staff has assisted. Our free pregnancy counseling services are available to all expectant mothers, even if you haven’t decided that adoption is for you.

These are difficult questions with no right or wrong answers. Community Adoption Center’s experienced and caring counselors can help you explore the decisions you have to make.
Upon contacting Community Adoption Center, you will be assigned a counselor who will make it her goal to get to know you and your unique situation. All options will be explored. If you decide to pursue adoption, as a Wisconsin-licensed child placing agency we create and follow an individualized adoption plan just for you. Our experienced and compassionate staff will address your questions and concerns so that you can decide which plan is best for you and your child.
Here are just some of the services that we can offer in helping you pursue an adoption:
- We will assist you with your living expenses including rent, utilities, food and clothing as allowed by Wisconsin law.
- We will assist you with medical expenses including prenatal care, hospital and delivery charges.
- We can provide you with transportation to and from doctor’s appointments.
- We will handle all legal and adoption procedures at no cost to you.
- We will be there for you throughout your pregnancy and the placement of your child. Birth parent counseling will continue to be provided by Community Adoption Center or a referral to another counseling agency will be provided to you.
- We conduct a detailed screening process for prospective adoptive parents to ensure that you have the best families from which to choose.
- We can contact or assist with informing the birth father and other family members of your decision and help them understand the adoption process.
- We can assist you in maintaining contact with your child through pictures and letters.
